What cookies are

They are small files a site can store in your browser to remember something between one page and the next. They are used to make a service work, to count visits, or to follow people across sites for advertising.

What this site uses

ATAI installs no cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones.

It uses one similar thing only: a temporary browser storage area (sessionStorage) holding the point of the page you were reading, so that going back you find your place again. It clears itself when you close the tab, leaves no trace and cannot identify you.

There are no analytics tools, no advertising and no buttons talking to social networks.

Connections to the outside

The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. That is not a cookie, but to download them your browser connects to Google servers, which at that moment see your IP address. It is the only third-party connection on the site.

For links leading away from ATAI, for instance to SevenPixel, the notices of those sites apply.

How to manage all this from your browser

Since there are no cookies to accept or refuse, you will find no banner. If you want to act anyway, every browser lets you block cookies, clear site data and restrict outside connections from its own privacy settings.
